Scholarships

For information on scholarships for teacher education candidates visit the College of Education scholarship page.  You will find general information and an application for Teacher Education Scholarships here.  The university scholarship deadline is February 15 for incoming freshmen and transfer students, and March 15 for continuing students.  All new freshmen and transfer students who have completed the admission application by the deadline and who have at least a 3.0 GPA will be considered.  Continuing students need a 3.0 GPA to be considered.  A complete listing of scholarship information is available at the Financial Aid Office.

Students who hold current certification in general education (elementary or secondary) may qualify for a scholarship intended to help them obtain additional certification in special education.  Visit the Military Order of the Purple Heart  for an application for this scholarship.

Students who intend to teach in Idaho may be interested in Student Loan Forgiveness.  Eligibility rules and specific information regarding this program are referenced in a letter from the Secretary of Education and information can be found at the Financial Aid Office.
